During the months that the Studebaker Avanti was in production, many manufacturers of related—usually automotive—merchandise benefited from associated advertising. These included Champion Spark Plugs, Valvoline Motor Oil, Gabriel Shock Absorbers, Molded Fiber Glass Body Company, Ross Gear and Tool Company, US Borax (of 20 mule team fame), Sears, and Mobil Oil. The Avanti was the fastest production car on the roads and these companies took advantage of its performance in stock racing competitions to promote their own products.
