The cathedral-like chambers that lend "The Man From Planet X" its eerie, atmospheric quality are sets from the 1948 production of "Joan of Arc." The Man From Planet X was directed by Edgar G. Ulmer. Aubry Wisberg and Jack Pollexfen wrote the screenplay. Howard Weeks and Harry Anderson created the special effects. Charles Koff composed the musical score. Robert Clarke is the reporter, Margeret Field is the scientist's daughter, Raymond Bond is the scientist, and William Schallert is Dr. Meers. The plight of an alien humanoid explores the hopes, fears, and cruelties of human nature. When a rogue planet enters our solar system an alien spacecraft brings a visitor to Earth to plead for his dying world. A greedy scientist uses the alien to achieve his insidious plan against Earth.
