For the 2012 Golden Anniversary of the Avanti, Stellar Scholars contacted Don Wieland to render the classic car in a definitive work. The goal was achieved with the submission of, "
Gold Out of South Bend." The painting depicts a 1963 Avanti over a cloverleaf with the old Studebaker plant and a sixties South Bend skyline.
